The company began rather by accident back in the mid- 1950s when
Jan Craig, and avid golfer, became frustrated with the
lack of quality headcovers on the market. Jan decided to knit
herself a set and was soon "taking orders" from family and
friends who found her design irresistible.
In the mid- 1960s, an order arrived that caught Jan's attention.
It was from a young touring professional named Jack Nicklaus.
As his victories mounted, so did the recognition
of the custom, hand-knit headcovers that adorned his golf bag.
Other touring professionals became loyal customers, too, and
today Jan Craig Headcovers have become the classic complement to
