choice for more than 50 years, Jan Craig is excited to be able to
offer site visitors the opportunity to design and purchase these
unique headcovers any time of day or night.
Jan Craig has built a loyal group of passionate
fans by delivering a quality, one-of-a-kind product. Their hand-made,
custom headcovers offer the golfer both a sense of individuality
and fellowship. “Customers
frequently send us letters telling us how their headcovers are immediately
recognized no matter where they’re playing – Scotland
or Scottsdale. We’ve established kind of a cult following among

With a desire to provide golfers with a superior
and seamless online experience, Jan Craig worked with Ellis&Potter
to re-imagine and reinvent the site. “We wanted to create
a web product that would help tell the Jan Craig story and reinforce
the company’s
identity and rich legacy. As both a golfer and a creative director,
I was honored to develop and design a site that would accomplish
just that for this legendary brand,” says Curt Potter, Vice

In addition to the destination’s design
and messaging, “We
wanted the site to be completely intuitive for the typical customer
and our commercial accounts as well,” says Reusing. “Customers
are able to design their headcovers exactly the
way they want them, and then make their purchase safely.” The
step-by-step order process guides the user through unlimited design

Jan Craig Headcovers began in 1953
when Jan, an avid golfer, couldn’t
find a set of headcovers to match the quality of her new clubs. Dissatisfied
with the lack of available cover choices, Jan decided to knit her
own. The result was a combination of sensibility and style that family
and friends noticed – and it wasn’t long before she
was taking orders.
In the mid-1960s, a young touring professional
named Jack Nicklaus ordered a set, and as his success grew, so
did recognition of his hand-knit headcovers. The tradition continues
